Rear-Admiral Herbert Pott, M.V.O., Royal Navy, (31 May, 1886 – 4 August, 1945) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Pott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1908.[1]

Great War

Pott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1916.[2]

Post-War

On 12 August, 1914, Potts qualified as a signal officer under the old system.[3]

Pott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1920.[4]

Pott was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1927.[5]

Pott was appointed in command of the light cruiser Cairo in August, 1928.

Pott was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 January, 1939 and was placed on the Retired List the following day.[6]
