Service

On 14 July, 1916, she sank U 51 at 53° 55' N., 7° 53' E.[7]

She was lost with all hands on the night of 6 March, 1918, when she was rammed by the S.S. Rutherglen in Carnarvon Bay.[8] Among the dead was U.S. Navy Lieutenant Earle W. F. Childs, who was serving as an observer.[9]
