H.M.S. Niger was one of eleven torpedo gunboats of the Alarm class.
Service
At the beginning of the war, Niger was assigned to the Downs Boarding Flotilla.
She was torpedoed off Deal by U 12 on 11 November, 1914,[6] with the loss of fifteen lives.[7]
