H.M.S. Champion was one of nine Comus Class corvettes completed for the Royal Navy.
Service

The vessel participated in the Jubilee Naval Review and possibly the Annual Manoeuvres of 1897.[7]
By May 1919, Champion was among 33 obsolete ships awaiting sale.[8] Oddly, this may not have happened until 1931.
