Commander (retired) Denys Arthur Henderson, O.B.E. (25 December, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend A. Henderson of Cardiff was born in St. John, Glamorgan.[1]

Henderson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1910.[2]

Henderson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1918.[3]

Henderson was loaned to the Royal Australian Navy from September 1927 to 6 October 1930 when he was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander and granted permission to accept an appointment under the Iraqi government.[4]

World War II

Henderson worked at Slough with the Director of the Compass Department, and then the Hydrographic Department. He reverted to the Retired List on 6 July 1942.[5]
