Captain Francis Arthur Lavington Andrews, C.B.E., R.N. (13 February, 1869 – 30 December, 1944) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Fareham, Hants.[1]
Andrews was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 January, 1892.[2]
Andrews was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1905.[3]
In 1907, he lost a [stop?]watch in H.M.S. Illustrious.[4]
Andrews was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1913.[5]
On 1 March 1921, he took over command of Constantinople Naval Base from Captain E. R. Jones. He was placed on the Retired List on 4 August, 1923.[6]
