Engineer Rear-Admiral John Hughes Adams, Royal Navy (7 January, 1854, – , ) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Adams was promoted to the rank of Chief Engineer on 1 October, 1888.[1] He was advanced to the rank of Staff Engineer on 1 October, 1892.[2]
He was promoted to the rank of Fleet Engineer on 1 October, 1896.[3]
In accordance with the provisions of Order in Council of 9 October, 1903, his seniority in the new rank of Engineer Commander was antedated to 1 October, 1892.[4]
On 1 January, 1904, he was promoted to the rank of Engineer Captain.[5]
He was promoted to the rank of Engineer Rear-Admiral on 14 August, 1910, vice Priston.[6]
Adams was placed on the Retired List on 7 January, 1914.[7]
