H.M.S. G 10 (1916)
Pendant Number: I.2C (1914)
G.10 (mid 1915)[1]
Builder: Vickers[2]
Ordered: 24 Nov, 1914[3]
Launched: 11 Jan, 1916[4]
Commissioned: Apr, 1916[5]
Sold: Jan, 1923[6]

H.M.S. G 10 was one of fourteen "G" class submarines completed in Britain during the Great War, intended primarily to hunt German U-boats.

Service

After the Battle of Jutland, Titania tasked G 10 with sawrching for and sinking any floating remains of Invincible to prevent the capture of materials. G 10 departed on the morning of the 3rd, but returned on the 6th after a 48 hour search revealed no sign of the lost battle cruiser.[7]

By late 1920, she was one of six "G" class submarines in reserve at Portsmouth as the "L" group under the collective command of Lieutenant Humphrey G. Veale, tender to Dolphin.[8]

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.
