Commander Lionel Peyton Skipwith, (23 June, 1902 – 1978) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Skipwith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 August, 1924.[1]

Skipwith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 August, 1932.[2]

Skipwith was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1937.[3]

World War II

Retired 23 June, 1952.[4]
