Life & Career
Born in Brisbane, Queensland.
Miles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 August, 1908.
Miles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 August, 1916.
Miles was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1920.
Miles was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 16 August, 1932.
