H.M.S. C 1 was one of thirty-eight "C" class coastal submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In 1918, she was prepared for use as a demolition vessel for the Zeebrugge Raid, but was kept in reserve while C 3 was expended in this mission.[5]

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.

It is unclear exactly when Regnart and Lewis were in command. They may have alternated or overlapped.
