Rear-Admiral Richard James Rodney Scott, A.M., C.B., R.N. (21 April, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Bath the son of Reverend J. H. Scott.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1909.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1917.

Awarded the Albert Medal, gazetted 12 March, 1920.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1922.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1929.

Scott was appointed in command of the battleship Barham in December, 1933.

World War II

Scott was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 25 June, 1940 and placed on the Retired List the following day.
