Vice-Admiral William McCoy FitzGerald Castle, R.N., Retired ( – 1 May, 1916) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Castle was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 13 March, 1866.
Castle was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 November, 1877.
Castle was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1885.
Castle was placed on the Retired List at his own request under the provisions of Order in Council of 22 February, 1870 on 22 May, 1898. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 1 August, 1899.
Castle was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 20 October, 1904.
