U.S.S. Nashville was a gunboat completed for the United States Navy in 1897.

Construction

Her design was handsome and almost yacht-like, with two very tall thin funnels and a rounded fantail stern.

Nashville was launched by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company on 19 October, 1895, sponsored by Miss Maria Guild.

Service

Nashville was commissioned on 19 August, 1897 with Commander Washburn Maynard in command.

In 1900, she was serving on the Asiatic Station.[8]

She became the barge Richmond Cedar Works No. 4 and was finally scrapped in 1957.[9]
