Vice-Admiral SIR Robert Alastair Ewing, D.S.C., C.B., K.B.E. (10 April, 1909 – 19 May, 1997) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1931.[1]

World War II

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1939.[2]

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1942.[3]

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1947.[4]

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 January, 1957.[5]

Ewing was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 22 July, 1960.[6]

He retired 9 August, 1962.[7]
