Captain Reginald Fife Whinney, D.S.C.**, R.N. (8 February, 1909 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Whinney was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1932.[1]
World War II
Whinney was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1940.[2]
Whinney was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1944.[3]
Whinney was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1951.[4]
