Vice-Admiral Peter Dawnay, K.C.V.O., C.B., D.S.C. (14 August, 1904 – 1989) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Paddington.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1927.[1]
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1935.[2]
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1940.[3]
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1946.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 January, 1956.[4]
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 7 January, 1959.[5]
Retired 1 February, 1962.[6]
