Percy Noble Taylor
Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Percy Noble Taylor, D.S.C., R.N.R. ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Taylor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on
Commanded an armed trawler in Auxiliary Patrol Area XIV from an uncertain date in late 1915, being on the books of Dreel Castle.[1]
On 15 April 1916 he was admitted to Plymouth Hospital, suffering from plurisy. He was found fit on the 28th.[2]
Taylor was cautioned following a collision between a trawler and a collier transport on 25 May 1916.[3]
On 1 February 1917, Taylor was appointed in command of a group of net drifters in Auxiliary Patrol Area XIII and for minesweeping duties.[4]
Taylor was promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1919.[5]
