Percival Scott Ram

Captain R.N.R. (retired) Percival Scott Ram, R.D., R.N.R. (17 August, 1872 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Ram was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 July, 1903.[1]

Ram was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 July, 1911. He was called out on 2 August 1914 and sent to Chatham, being appointed to the armoured cruiser Bacchante the next day. He was appointed to the requisitioned auxiliary Heroic from 30 July 1915 through 22 March, 1918, being promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1916.[2]

Ram commanded the sweeping sloop Lobelia from June to December, 1918 and was sent to Devonport before being demobilised on 28 March 1919. He would requalify in Gunnery and Torpedo courses in September 1921 before being placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain R.N.R. on 17 August, 1922.[3]
