Lieutenant-Commander John Willington Clarence Orby Shelton, (19 June, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Lt. Colonel W. A. D. Shelton, D.S.O..

Shelton passed out of Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in April, 1910 ranked 26th of 77 cadets in marks on the Part I examination.[1]

Shelton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1915.[2]

Shelton was loaned to the Royal Australian Navy for two years in 1919.[3]

Shelton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1923.[4]

Shelton was placed on the Retired List owing to non-service on 13 March, 1932.[5]
