John Augustus Clifton

Commander (retired) John Augustus Clifton, (1 July, 1845 – 28 May, 1926) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Clifton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 7 March, 1867.

After eight years' service in the Coast Guard, Clifton was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander on 1 October, 1890.
