James Wylie East

Rear-Admiral (retired) James Wylie East (21 October, 1829 – 11 June, 1893) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

East was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 March, 1854.

East was promoted to the rank of Commander on 12 December, 1863.

East was promoted to the rank of Captain on 29 December, 1871.

East retired at his own request on 16 October, 1884. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1888.
