Captain Hugh Christopher Browne, D.S.O.*, C.B.E., R.N. (16 September, 1905 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Browne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 August, 1928.[1]
Browne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 August, 1936.[2]
Browne was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1942.[3]
Browne was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1946. He retired on 7 July, 1955.[4]
