Herbert Acheson Forster

Rear-Admiral Herbert Acheson Forster, M.V.O., R.N. (20 June, 1885 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Forster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1907.

Post-War

Forster was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.

Forster was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1926 and then loaned to the Royal Australian Navy on 25 February, 1927 through February, 1929.

Loaned again to the R.A.N. on 1 April, 1935, Forster was immediately put in command of H.M.A.S. Australia. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 30 May, 1937 and placed on the Retired List the following day.
