Herbert Acheson Forster

Rear-Admiral Herbert Acheson Forster, M.V.O., R.N. (20 June, 1885 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Forster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1907.[1]

Post-War

Forster was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.[2]

Forster was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1926[3] and then loaned to the Royal Australian Navy on 25 February, 1927 through February, 1929.[4]

Loaned again to the R.A.N. on 1 April, 1935, Forster was immediately put in command of H.M.A.S. Australia. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 30 May, 1937 and placed on the Retired List the following day.[5]
