Commander (retired) Henry Lewis Oliver, (18 June, 1902 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Oliver was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1924.[1]
Oliver was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1932.[2]
Oliver was granted the acting rank of Commander on 30 June, 1944.[3]
Oliver commanded the escort carrier Atheling from July 1944 to around October 1945.[4]
Oliver was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Commander on 18 June, 1947.[5]
