H.M.S. Gilia was one of twenty-eight Anchusa Class convoy sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Robert Burn Thomson was cautioned to exercise greater care after a collision with S.S. Hampstead on 5 October, 1918.[5]
