George Woronzow Allen

Captain George Woronzow Allen, R.N. (Retired) (5 May, 1842 – 5 January, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Allen was the son of the Rev. J.C. Allen, a Vicar of Hawkley in Hampshire.

He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 April, 1863.

He was placed on the Retired List as unfit with the rank of Captain on 15 November, 1883.

Later Years and Death

Allen retired to live at Woodside, Purbrook in Hampshire. He died in London on 5 January, 1915.[1]
