Commander (retired) George Harry Miller, O.B.E., R.N. (30 August, 1853 – 17 July, 1924) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Miller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 16 April, 1878.
Miller was lent to command T.B. 48 for the Annual Manoeuvres of 1887.
Appointed in command of drill ship Briton, formerly Brilliant, from 12 April, 1894 to 30 August, 1898.
Miller was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 30 August, 1898. In September, he notified the service he had assumed the name of Miller-Sterling.
