Commander (retired) Geoffrey St. John Aldersey Taylor, O.B.E. (24 June, 1895 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Early in the war, he served in the battleship Superb. At the end of April 1916 he was appointed to the third class protected cruiser Proserpine.[1]
On 19 January 1916 he requested training in submarines, but he withdrew this request on 26 March.[2]
Taylor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 December, 1916.[3]
In 1918, he served in Mystic and Sybille.[4]
Taylor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 December, 1924.[5]
World War II
Taylor was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 24 June, 1940.[6]
