Eugene McClellan Isaac

Chief Boatswain Eugene McClellan Isaac (12 March, 1862 – 17 February, 1920) served in the United States Navy as an enlisted man before being promoted to warrant officer.

Life & Career

Eugene Isaac was born in Pennsylvania on 12 March, 1862.[1]

Isaac was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 16 July, 1898. In April 1899 he was serving aboard the battleship Iowa in the Pacific.[2]

Isaac was appointed to the Washington Navy Yard for command of the yard tug Triton on 13 January, 1902.[3]

Isaac was promoted to the rank of Chief Boatswain on 16 July, 1904.[4] He was appointed to the Glacier on 4 August, 1904.[5]

Isaac was appointed to command the monitor Miantonomoh when she recommissioned at Philadelphia on 9 April, 1907.

Isaac retired on 2 December, 1910.[6]
