Commander Arthur Nichol Rowell, D.S.C.* (21 March, 1909 – ) served in the Royal Navy. Maddeningly, his middle name is given as Nichol, Nicol, and Nicoll in various sources! His date of birth could be 31 March.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
