Captain (retired) Amyot John Mitchell, (25 April, 1892 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Captain N. Mitchell, Royal Engineers[?], retired who later became a barrister at law.
Mitchell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1913.[1]
Mitchell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1921.[2]
Mitchell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1924.[3][Fact Check]
Mitchell was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 4 June, 1938.[4]
