Admiral William Oswald Story, C.B.E., Royal Navy, Retired (18 April, 1859 – 14 January, 1938) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Story was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 September, 1882.[1]

Captain

Story was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1902.[2]

On 7 April, 1907, Story was appointed in command of the battleship London.[3]

Story was appointed for signal and war courses dated 12 February, 1912.[4]

Story was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 30 January, 1912.[5] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 26 April, 1917,[6] and to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 3 October, 1919.[7]
