Captain William Johns Beckett Law (21 August, 1874 – 22 November, 1940) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Contents
Life & Career
Law was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in May, 1895.
Law was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1907.
Law was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1916.
Post-War
Law was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Highflyer on 21 December, 1918.[1]
He was appointed in command of the light cruiser Caroline on 6 February, 1919.[2]
Law was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 August, 1922.
