Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William John Thompson, R.N. (30 September, 1854 – 21 March, 1931) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Thompson was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 1 May, 1882

Thompson was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 4 June, 1902.

Thompson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 November, 1905.

Thompson was retired due to age on 30 September, 1909.

Thompson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 29 June, 1915.

Reverted to Retired List on 30 August, 1919.
