Flight Commander William Frith Horner, D.S.C., R.N.A.S. (30 December, 1894 – 21 December, 1917) was an officer in the Royal Navy and the Royal Naval Air Service.
Life & Career
Horner served in the battleship Vanguard and the destroyer Sprightly before joining the Royal Naval Air Service.
Horner was promoted to the rank of Flight Sublieutenant on 11 March, 1915.
Horner was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant on 30 June, 1916.
Horner was granted the acting rank of Lieutenant, R.N. on 15 November, 1916.
Horner was promoted to the rank of Flight Commander on 30 June, 1917.
He died with two other men when airship SSP.4 was lost.
