Admiral William Firth Slayter (22 January, 1867 — 15 May, 1936) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was appointed to command the armoured cruiser Eclipse on 24 March, 1908.[1]
He attended the Royal Navy War College from 9 September, 1912, but left on 20 December without completing the course.
He was appointed to command the dreadnought Neptune on 15 October, 1917.[2]
He was promoted to Rear Admiral (retired) on 1 January, 1919.
He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 31 July, 1924,[3] and advanced to Admiral on the Retired List on 22 February, 1928.[4]
