Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William Charles Ovenden (23 March, 1884 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Ovenden was promoted to the rank of Gunner (T) on 11 November, 1912. He was made Acting Mate on 1 August, 1915.

Ovenden was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1917.

He was appointed to the destroyer Grasshopper in October, 1917 and may have assumed command some time later. His appointment ended on 5 February, 1919.

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 3 May, 1920.

Ovenden was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on [illegible].
