William Alexander Willock

Commander (retired) William Alexander Willock, R.N.R., R.N. (22 November, 1893 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve in the Great War who joined the Royal Navy afterward.

Life & Career

The son of W. A. Willock, Esq., of the Indian Civili Service.

Willock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 November, 1915.

Willock was appointed in command of the patrol boat P17 on 8 July, 1918.[1]

Willock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 November, 1923.

Willock faced personal bankruptcy issues in December, 1925.

Willock was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 15 November, 1927.

Willock was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 22 November, 1933.
