Commander Vincent Paul Freeman, R.N., Retired (19 July, 1889 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Falmouth.

Freeman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1912.

Post-War

Freeman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1920.

From late 1926 through late 1929 he commanded a group of Emergency Destroyers, being himself on the books of Douglas and Carysfort while so doing.[1]

Freeman was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 19 July, 1932.

World War II

Mobilised on 28 September 1938, his service will be hard to outline due to a nearly illegible service record, though he staretd out as Naval Officer in Command, Yarmouth.

He was re-appointed to provide executive duties at Londonderry Base on 9 December, 1940.
