Commander (retired) Valentine Searles-Wood (23 June, 1892 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Searles-Wood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1915.[1]

Searles-Wood was appointed in command of the destroyer Harpy on 5 November, 1918.[2]

Searles-Wood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1923.[3]

Searles-Wood was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Commander on 20 August, 1935.[4]

World War II

Commanded a group of anti-submarine trawlers in 1939.[5]
