U.S.S. New York was an armored cruiser completed for the U.S. Navy in 1893.

Service

She commissioned at Philadelphia on 1 August, 1893 with Captain John W. Philip in command.

In 1900, she was serving as flagship on the North Atlantic Station.[7]

She was renamed Saratoga in 1911 and further renamed Rochester in 1917.
