Tristan Dannreuther ( – ) served in the Royal Navy.

His younger brother was Hubert Edward Dannreuther, senior surviving officer of the destruction of the battlecruiser H.M.S. Invincible.

Life & Career

Dannreuther was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1905.[1]

In early 1913, he was at the War Course at the Royal Naval War College in Portsmouth,[2] having seemingly been there since 1902.[3]

On 9 February, 1914, he was appointed in command of the battleship Mars.[4]

Dannreuther was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1918.[5]

He was appointed as Assistant Director of Naval Intelligence Division on 7 April, 1919,[6] apparently replacing five men jointly holding the position.
