At the commencement of hostilities against Germany.[2]

January, 1916

Argyll had been wrecked in October, 1915,[3] leaving three ships in the squadron.[4]

  • H.M.S. Antrim.
  • H.M.S. Devonshire.
  • H.M.S. Roxburgh.
