Tall's Engine Room Telegraph, c. 1886[1]

Tall's Engine Room Telegraph was an electrical shipboard transmitter/receiver pair which could convey any of 13 indicators over 3 wires.

It, and a companion Tall's Helm Indicator were derived from a distance indicator first seen in 1885.[2]

It was being evaluated alongside other electrical designs in 1886.[3]
