Admiral Spencer Victor Yorke de Horsey, Royal Navy, Retired (4 June, 1863 – 19 March, 1937) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1898.[1]

Captain

De Horsey was specially promoted to the rank of Captain on 21 October, 1900, for services in South Africa.[2]

De Horsey was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 25 November, 1909, vice Bacon.[3] He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 21 August, 1911.[4]

De Horsey was granted a temporary commission as a Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve on 14 November, 1914.[5]

He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the retired List on 1 January, 1919.[6]
