Rear-Admiral Herbert G. King-Hall succeeded Rear-Admiral George E. Patey as Rear-Admiral in the Division on 19 October, 1911.[1]

On 1 May, 1912 the Second Division became the Second Battle Squadron of the First Fleet of the Home Fleets.[2]
