Captain (retired) Robert Lascelles Gambier Noel, R.N. (27 June, 1855 – 7 October, 1935) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Noel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 23 March, 1877.
Noel was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1891.
His service record contains a marginal notation that reads, "see papers in Jan 96 relative to a charge of indecent assault the Board of Magistrates stated 'that there was no evidence with which to connect the accused with the "offence". Admiral Sir [illeg] reported that he was convinced that Com Noel was absolutely free from any blame whatever and was victimized by the action of the police."
Noel was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 10 February, 1902.
