Air Marshal Robert Hamilton Clark-Hall, D.S.O., R.N. (21 June, 1883 – 8 March, 1964) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in South Chelsea the son of J. Clark-Hall, Registrar General of Shipping and seaman.
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1903.
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1911.
On 29 July, 1913 he was appointed to Hermes, additional, as Squadron Commander for armament duties with aircraft and as an acting interpreter in German.[1]
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Squad Commander on 1 July, 1914.
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1915.
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Wing Commander on 1 July, 1914.
Clark-Hall was promoted to the rank of Wing Captain on 31 December, 1917.
Post-War
Clark-Hall was graded a Permanent Commission as a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Air Force on 1 August, 1919.
