Robert Gregory Maze Durrant Hunt

Commander (retired) Robert Gregory Maze Durrant Hunt, D.S.O., R.N. (26 February, 1886 – 10 March, 1937) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Leamington.

Hunt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1907.[1]

Hunt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1915.[2]

Hunt was appointed in command of the monitor M.32 on 22 September, 1916 and re-appointed in that role on 20 May, 1918.[3]

An appointment in command of Severn in May 1919 was cancelled. By late July he was placed in command of M.24. In late 1919 he was appointed in command of Cicala.[4]

Hunt was placed on the Retired List at his own request upon the expiration of his Foreign Service Leave on 30 May, 1922.[5]

Hunt was promoted to the rank of Commander on 26 February, 1926.[6]
